黄海森林国际会议中心，江苏 / 清华大学建筑设计研究院有限公司素朴工作室
江苏黄海海滨国家森林公园，位于江苏省东台市，前身是1965年成立的东台林场，经过近60年的人工造林地貌改造， 如今已是华东地区规模最大的人造生态林园，并获批成为国家级森林公园，国家4A级景区。为平衡森林公园内基础设施建造和自然生态林地， 森林公园内的新建公建项目不仅要在集约的建设用地范围内完成任务要求，更需要在满足功能使用需求的前提下， 最大限度的尊重森林自然景观并挖掘森林特色。
Huanghai Forest International Convention Center, located in Dongtai, Jiangsu Province, was formerly Dongtai tree farm established in 1965. After nearly 60 years of afforestation and landform transformation, it has become the largest artificial ecological forest park in East China, and has been approved as a national-level forest park and a national 4A-level scenic spot. To balance between infrastructure construction and natural ecological land within the forest park, the project of a new public building was not only restricted within a relatively small area, but also required to show respect for natural landscape and tap the potential of forest features to the utmost extent while meeting functional demands.

设计的初衷，是以会务功能为核心；将建筑、景观、旅游一体化通盘考虑。以此打造开放式的、弹性发展的会议综合体，塑造黄海森林公园对外的自然生态新名片。 项目选址位于三相河南侧， 美居酒店北侧，是森里公园在此区域内仅剩的一块建设用地，红线范围仅8850平方米。
Therefore, the design not only involves a single building, Instead, it’s an integral design generated with the help of systematic thinking, where architecture, landscape and tourism are all integrated with convention functions as the core, aiming to create a high-quality and flexible international convention complex as a new ecological icon for Huanghai Forest Park.

考虑其靠近酒店的特殊位置，业主希望借助这个项目，在满足会议使用的同时，解决康体，餐饮，娱乐等酒店服务配套。因此，需要在有限的用地范围内，实现一个1.9万平米的高密度，复合型公共建筑。同时避免过大的建筑体量阻隔和遮挡森林公园的景观，成为体量庞大的景观屏障。在保证建筑内部会议大空间多功能使用需求的同时，需要尽可能的尊重黄海森林公园的自然景观风貌，让宾客在参会的同时，能更充分的欣赏和体验三相河南侧的自然景观， 避免过大的建筑体量阻隔和遮挡黄海森林公园的自然风貌。森林公园的特质，是吸引人出到户外，接触自然； 而会议中心则需要更可控的室内人工环境，满足各类会务活动需求；这两者的特质反差，即矛盾，又有趣。如何破题，将反差变为特色， 将难题变为主题？
Huanghai Forest International Convention Center is located to the south of Sanxiang River and north of a Mercure hotel, with an above-ground building area of approximately 18,000 square meters. Mainly serving as a convention center with supporting functions such as conference service and hotel service, the multi-functional complex was expected to show full respect for the forest park’s natural landscape while meeting convention-related demands with large spaces, so that the guests can fully enjoy the beautiful scenery of both south bank of Sanxiang River and the forest without being obstructed by large building volumes. Faced with the contradiction between natural forest landscape and the usually-large-and-enclosed volume of convention buildings, the design team transformed this challenge into an opportunity to highlight the building’s features.

一、 空间原型的挑战Challenge to the spatial prototype
以拆代合Replacing integration with disassembly
如何在保证标准会议空间需求的前提下，避免过大的建筑体量阻隔和遮挡。从“拆”入手，以“合”收口，尝试解决这个问题。“拆”出多样化的独立单元。用通往景区的路径将建筑体量化整为零，把会议功能与餐饮康体配套功能拆分为东西两区，两区之间形成通往三相河的内街通廊，为建筑赢得更多的室外观景界面。东西区之间设有接待书吧中庭， 同时伴随环绕东西区的立体户外绿化环廊， 可360度立体全方位欣赏森林公园的自然景观，同时实现从户外空间直接进入东西区各层公共空间的可达性。如此一来，既减小了建筑体量，消除了与自然景观的隔阂，又让建筑形态于紧凑中又自由。
How can the beauty of natural beauty of Huanghai Forest Park be fully presented without being blocked by huge building volumes while large conference spaces are still available? The design took three approaches to address the problem.

从功能布局上，整体建筑分为东区会议，中区接待书吧， 西区餐饮商务配套三大板块。其中东区以高品质的多功能民间会议活动为主，首层多功能会议厅能容纳近千人活动，同时也能分成三个独立的会议房间使用。三层在多功能会议室顶部设有宴会厅和屋顶庭院， 既能举办餐宴，又能作为分会场。 东区所有会议相关房间都配有高品质的电声及会议系统。其室内设计为各种会议模式提供专业的声学和光学环境。中区接待书吧既是独立的网红书吧空间又可作为公共接待空间，可以将到达会务综合体的客人第一时间按其参与的活动引导分流。 同时书吧也是中央垂直交通核，可连接东区顶层宴会厅和西区的露天屋顶平台，便于西区屋顶水吧及泳池在夜间独立开放。

First, the building’s main functions were distributed in an east and a west section, respectively serving for convention and catering services. Their shapes, resembling two dancing leaves in the forest, merge with the landscape with their natural and compact curves and thus form a corridor towards the riverside in between, providing access to the public square south of the building while creating more interfaces between interior spaces and the nature.

西区的三层空间主要作为餐饮和商务服务配套。 包括一层的主题餐厅，二层的餐厅包间，三层的商务会所，还有屋顶层的270度观景隐边泳池和音乐水吧。其功能即可服务会务综合体又能补全南侧美居酒店的康体功能，提升整个区域的配套服务功能。
Spaces for reception and vertical circulation are located between the east and west sections, with a multi-dimensional green corridor encircling them, providing users with a 360-degree view of the forest park’s sceneries while providing them with access to public spaces at every floor of the east and west sections. This approach has both reduced the building’s size to give way to natural landscape and created a compact yet free building form.

“拆”出紧凑的体量，流动的内街。三个功能各有侧重的单体，每个都采用了适合自身需求最紧凑的建筑体量，让剩余空间形成开阖变化，动线丰富的内街。“拆”出人工与自然的空隙。用三维交错的廊道将封闭的建筑外壳剥开，把户外自然渗透进室内， 增加室内公共空间与户外的接触面，让东西区各层公共空间的人能便捷的进入空中连廊，室外平台和屋顶庭院，鼓励参会者，在会议和餐饮的闲暇时间，出到室外，全方位欣赏森林公园不同季节，不同区位的自然景观。串联东区，书吧，西区三大独立单体的多层立体连廊， 既能为黄海森林公园的参观公众，提供不进入建筑室内也能全方位观赏森林公园的立体漫步路径， 又能成为三区各层相互串联的便捷路径。同时沿立体廊道的立面种植槽， 也为叶舞状的会务综合体增加了一层立体绿化的立面元素， 既有建筑的展示度，又隐于自然，融于环境。
Second, the building’s color echoes with the changing seasons. Its main colors are derived from surrounding vegetation’s colors throughout the year, ranging from various shades of green in spring and summer, to shades of yellow in autumn and winter, so that the building fit in the landscape in every season.

拆开后的体量借助外挂立体的廊道系统联合为整体。外挂廊道的宽度为1.8m，借助出挑钢梁悬挂在主体建筑外侧。为了不影响主体建筑外幕墙的安装与维护，立体廊道与建筑外墙留有300mm的缝隙，这一处理，也为工程施工预留了误差和容错度。 外挂的廊道借助廊道屋面排水的组织，利用外挂雨水沟设置的绿化种植槽，让绕建筑旋转的路径也成为绿植陪伴的户外界面。

Furthermore, to achieve a more natural transition between artificial façades and surrounding trees, multi-dimensional plant troughs are installed on the aerial corridor to harmonize the façade with the colorful forest.

以外代内Replacing the internal with the external
这次的空间原型，尝试了内部公共空间的室外化。将常规建筑中的室内中庭和共享空间，翻转到室外， 设置在各种被放大的三维连廊和各种形态的屋顶庭院里。这里自然有外因的限制， 但更多的是内因的驱动。 在建设用地紧凑甚至紧张的前提下， 特殊的公共空间如果包在里面，势必把建筑体量撑大， 而且要考虑内部的采光，通风，消防，排烟等因素，给建筑的设备负荷增大难度。所以这次，我们主动尝试把他们翻转到户外， 在降低设备负荷和用地负荷的同时，把内部的空间体验置换成室外的空间体验，扬森林公园之长，避会议中心之短。
Third, the outdoor landscape is introduced into interior spaces for more human-nature contact. Easy access from each floor to the aerial green corridor, outdoor platforms and courtyards encourages users to go outside during meeting and meal breaks to enjoy the beauty of the forest park at every location and in every season.

借色隐形Camouflaged by borrowed colors
建筑的颜色呼应自然界四时的变化，借此隐于森林。即便在整体建筑体量拆解后，相较于森林公园的自然环境， 它还是一个庞然大物。既然建筑体量不能消解，就让建筑借助森林的颜色，隐于整体环境之中。建筑主体色来着森林公园四季的植物色彩， 从春夏的绿色系过度到秋冬的黄色系， 让建筑全年都能融于自然。考虑到曲面的外墙轮廓对立面材料和建造精度的要求较高，我们在设计中借助对幕墙节点的细部设计，用简单的平板幕墙工艺和10种有限的色彩单元，打造更流畅的曲面轮廓和色彩光感变化更丰富的视觉效果。为了让人工的彩色立面与森林环境的过渡更自然，连廊的外侧设置了立体绿植，让彩色立面藏于自然绿植之后。同时白色的曲面屋顶，从绿色背景里轻盈而出，成为森林深处辨识会议中心的标志。

The multi-floor corridor connecting the east section, the west section and the central book lounge serves as a quick access among the three parts. It allows visitors in the park to take a multi-dimensional walk for a panoramic view of the forest park without entering the building. Multi-dimensional planting troughs has enriched the layers of the convention complex resembling a dancing leave, endowing the complex with unique features while achieving harmony with nature.

二、可持续整体设计与低碳运营 Sustainable design and low-carbon operation
自然采光通风的整体可持续设计An integrated sustainable design with natural lighting and ventilation
建筑的整体造型，也为本项目的可持续设计提供了空间基础。让室内空间尽可能的享受自然采光和通风， 同时可分可合的体量为建筑的分区独立运营提供了良好的基础，便于后续分区使用管理和减少建筑的运营能耗。标志性的钢结构膜屋顶，也为建筑东西两区的屋顶内院和平台，提供留更多的遮阳，导风的室外环境， 提升了户外环境的舒适性，以便配合户外场地的各种经营活动。借助化整为零的拆分式布局，以及在满足会议及餐饮康体配套需求后对建筑体量的消减，在利用圆形平面减少体形系数的前提下，争取到更多的自然采光与通风的建筑外表面，同时在表皮设计上考虑了与造型结合的外遮阳，这些设计策略均有利于降低建筑的运维能耗，符合低碳运营的要求。
The building’s overall form has laid the foundation for sustainable design. Maximum natural ventilation and daylighting for interior spaces are guaranteed, and the division of the building’s volume has made independent operation for different sections possible, facilitating the sections’ independent management and energy-saving performance in the future.

中部的接待书吧尤其将自然采光通风策略运用到极致。作为协调东西两区的接待前厅，面积仅210平米，但要容纳可通达东西两区的立体交通核，故被设计成上小下大的拔风筒形态，上部为楼电梯交通外壳，底部放大为公共接待厅，中间有连桥平台与东西区的3层和顶层衔接。为了让这个小面积，高空间的区域更多的利用自然资源，减少设备负荷，我们将其设计成一个半户外区域。顶部敞开，放大的玻璃屋顶将其罩住，解决防雨水的问题，玻璃屋顶的底端与开口之间设置防虫网，实现了自然采光，通风， 排烟，防雨的综合功效。书吧在春秋过渡季可以完全凭借自然通风实现舒适性。在冬夏的极端气候下， 可以借助书吧座椅和前台区的局部空调，优化人活动区域的局部温度，提升舒适性。
From the perspective of functionality, the complex can be divided into three sections, namely the east section of convention, the central section of book lounge and the west section of catering and business services. The east section focuses on high-end government-level conferences, where a 1,200-square meter multi-functional hall with a capacity of nearly 1,000 seats is located at the 1st floor. The hall can be used as either a whole large space or three separate zones. On the 2nd floor and the mezzanine, VIP reception rooms and small conference rooms serve as complements to the main hall. A banquet hall and a rooftop lounge are located on the 3rd floor, serving for dinner parties or parallel conference sessions. All conference rooms in the section are equipped with high-quality audio and conference control systems, and professional acoustic and optical environment design for various conference types have been taken into consideration in the interior design process. The book lounge in the central section can serve as both an Instagrammable destination and a reception space, where different groups are diverted and guided toward various destinations as soon as they enter the complex. The book lounge is also a central vertical core connecting the banquet hall on top of the east section and the rooftop of the west section, so that people have direct access to the rooftop bar and swimming pool in the west section without having to enter the east and west sections.

东西区膜屋顶配合原型空间的设计，提升室外环境品质The membrane roofs in the east and west zones are designed in harmony with the prototype spaces, enhancing the quality of the outdoor environment
西侧的膜结构叶片屋顶，对应底部的隐边泳池和屋顶酒吧，呈现朝上起翘的类双曲面。泳池区域的屋面起翘高，在遮阳的同时，提供了更顺畅的风场环境， 同时弱化了泳池区水面和屋顶的声音反射，避免了室内泳池经常出现的回声效果。让人有充分的日光环境， 风环境，和声环境直击森林公园美景。夜间沿屋顶女儿墙安装的泛光灯，照亮屋顶白膜，形成均匀柔和的屋顶泛光，给泳池和屋顶酒吧提供宁静的夜间氛围。

The three floors of the west section are mainly designed for catering and business services. The section includes a theme restaurant on the 1st floor, private dining rooms on the 2nd floor, a business club on the 3rd floor, as well as a 270-degree view infinity pool and music bar on the rooftop. The section, serving for both the convention complex and the hotel to its south, is complementary to the whole area’s service capacity.

东侧的膜结构屋面为防水膜， 给被包围在三层的内院提供类遮阳挡雨的环境。同时，因为东区内院的周边为封闭的走廊或会议厅，屋顶的曲面在内院外墙没有开口的情况下， 通过曲面的导风，给庭院内增强了过渡季的通风效果，春秋季节，东区内院可以成为半户外的会议及活动场所。

Besides the division and reduction of the building’s volume under the premise of meeting functional demands, more approaches are taken to reduce energy consumption. The circular layout has curbed the building’s shape coefficient and created more surfaces available to daylighting and natural ventilation. Exterior sunshades are also incorporated with the façade. All the above-mentioned approaches are beneficial to reducing operational energy costs and meeting low-carbon operation demands. The building’s curved membrane structural canopy has not only optimized the wind circumstance of the rooftop courtyard, but also improved the quality for outdoor spaces, meeting demands of diverse public cultural activities and making better use of the rooftop.

户外立体连廊，把占用的建设用地，以开放的活动空间还给公众和森林The outdoor three-dimensional corridor returns the occupied construction land to the public and the forest in the form of open activity space
650米长的户外绿化环廊，既能360度立体欣赏自然美景，也可直接从户外进入各层公共空间，可分可合的设计造型使东西区可独立运营，便于后续分区使用管理，减少运营能耗，实现低碳发展理念。立体连廊坡道和楼梯，同时也鼓励和吸引建筑内的使用者，多走户外，替代电梯自动扶梯，提倡健康减碳的使用体验。对公众开放的室外立体连廊，其实也为森林公园提供了一处可以不进入建筑室内，不打扰各种会议进程，就能全角度登高望远，欣赏森林公园风景的公共空间。它就像是一条盘山路， 既串连了山上的各个景点，又提供了观景的丰富角度，而且还是一个无需借助动力和设备的低能耗公共空间资源。

The project has met the requirements of 2-star green building standard without deliberate benchmarking or additional costs. Built with prefabricated steel structure, the project has reached a prefabrication rate of 62.5%. Recyclable, reusable and low-carbon building materials are applied to the main structure, curtain wall system and sound absorbing materials, reducing carbon emissions throughout the building’s whole lifecycle. A 650-meter outdoor green corridor is a both a space where people can get a panoramic view of the beautiful sceneries, and an access to every floor of public spaces from the outside. The division of the building’s volume has made independent operation for different sections possible, facilitating the sections’ independent management and energy-saving performance in the future.

这个看似在设计建筑造型和空间动线的举措，其实也与可持续和低碳的出发点是完全吻合的。 我们的终极目的，不是达到某个漂亮的能耗数据指标，而是极尽可能的把项目占用的自然资源的效益最大化。让这些被占用的资源，无论是空间资源，还是自然采光，通风，雨水等资源，都能为公众的日常使用发挥更大的价值。把侵占森林公园用于修建会议中心的空间，通过另外一种方式，还给公众，还给森林。
With its interior space serving as an international and specialized convention center and exterior space serving as an open observation tower for the public, the building has gained a dual identity for itself, which is crucial to a public-serving building in a national-level forest park. It’s inevitable for such a high-quality convention center to occupy part of valuable land resources within the park, but with the support from the client, we have made it into a “small hill” with a welcoming gesture instead of a dominating landmark. Here people can walk up the steps, occasionally stopping to relax in the book lounge or sit down at the bar for a drink and enjoy the view. The building is always open to the forest park’s visitors whether there is a conference or not, establishing itself as a scenic spot that truly serves the public.

作为森林公园里的会议中心， 它有着很特色鲜明的非典型性。也是突破传统会议中心设计模式的一次尝试。受当地施工水平和快速建造的限制，建筑中对误差的包容度，会给人一种带有田野气息和手工味道的工业感，有种带着松弛感的控制。有些是建筑师意料之中， 并在设计上给予了容错度的结果；有些是建筑师意料之外，但又无伤大雅的“瑕疵”。但也正是这个项目内核简单，表面复杂的特性，让这些瑕疵，成为它个性的一部分，与森林公园的郊野自然氛围相适配。
This is also part of the building’s low-carbon operational modes. Even if the east section is closed and the west section’s catering and business services are off-hours, people can still enjoy the “multi-dimensional gray space” specially created and reserved for the forest park.
