Unlike the construction of grand landmarks, the development of Southeast Yi is guided by the concept of “living heritage,” focusing more on micro-level content and operation, with the goal of creating a cultural reception hall and urban destination for Datong. The construction of hotel accompanied the formation of Southeast Yi and the regeneration of the entire ancient city.
