HCS, in a consortium with James Corner Field Operations, entered the international competition for the overall design of Xili Lake Waterfront Greenway and finished in second place.During the competition phase, HCS put forward an architecture embedded in landscape strategy: individual buildings do not pursue superfluous formal expression, but accommodate service functions by working with the existing spatial language of the site’s landscape.
