THAD设有九个综合性分院、九个专项研究设计分院（工程分院、城乡发展规划研究分院、文化旅游设计研究分院、建筑环境与节能设计研究分院、医疗健康工程设计研究分院、建筑产业化设计研究分院、建筑策划与设计分院、建筑全过程设计分院、数字科技研究院）、六个院士和大师工作室、三个建筑专业所、八个专项设计所（文化遗产保护中心、结构专业所、工程咨询所、绿色建筑工程设计研究所、水利水电工程设计研究所、风景园林设计研究所、宜居城乡规划设计研究所、工程结构诊治与城市交通设计技术咨询中心），以及以教师创作为特色的创新设计研究分院及三个教师工作室，此外还有四个院级研究中心（清华大学建筑设计研究院有限公司一康宁翰设计集团一清尚集团联合研究中心、照明与智能化研究中心、公共建筑工程后评估中心和检测中心），以职业精神、专业素养承担建筑师和工程师的责任和义务。
